We met a lot of interesting people in Salida at our hotel- people from Abilene, ACU alumni. Also met a couple on their Goldwing, celebrating their 50th anniversary! Alaska is the only state they need to make all 50 states. We're working toward that!
The ride out of Colorado was cool and beautiful. Then we started across Utah and the temperatures climbed to 97 degrees! Decided it was time to put on the cool gear!
The scenery was great as we went across the Utah desert. If it hadn't been so hot, we would have detoured to Moab. We'll save that for another time.
A couple of hours later - we ran into this! The temp dropped from 97 to 60 in a matter of minutes. Even though we got a little wet, it was a welcome relief.
We drove through Provo and Salt Lake City where there was tons of construction that slowed us down. We decided to call it a day in Ogden, UT.
