We came across this train exhibit outside of Anchorage. This was an old snowplow car. The back car was used to house troops during WWII.
The road from Anchorage to Homer is one of the most scenic drives in Alaska. It combines two of my favorite things - the ocean and the mountains.
Welcome to Homer!
Homer is on Kachemak Bay at the end of the Sterling Highway.
We went down to the historic Homer Spit for dinner and a little shopping. The Spit is the little pennisula outside of Homer. It has cute shops, restaurants and everything to do with the fishing industry.
I remember like it was yesterday. It's been 5 years . Thanks for the good memories. Have fun.
